Edward Madison Parker, 22, of Lillington, went home to be with the Lord as a result of a tractor farming accident. Madison was an avid outdoorsman; he loved riding horses, singing and raising his dogs with his father and brother. He loved his family and friends; and helping people in any way he could. He loved working for Kelly Pest Control in Alabama and was now working his forever job with Harnett Co. Public Utilities. He lived life to the fullest and will truly be missed by everyone he knew. Madison was preceded in death by his son, John Ryan Parker; and grandparents, Junious and Alda Parker. He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Donna Parker; brother, Mason Parker and wife Mallory; sister, Maggie Parker and boyfriend Jarret Smith; grandparents, A.J. and Sharon Mason of Citronelle, AL; girlfriend, Summer Roberts; niece, Alex Parker; Uncle Jay Mason and Aunt Dana, Aunt Rhonda Harrison and Uncle Phillip, Aunt Kim Lofton, and Aunt Judy Black; cousins, Krystal Black, Blake Lofton, Austin Harrison, Jay David Mason, Hunter Mason, Andrew Harrison, Anna Kay Harrison, Ryleigh Mason, Jailee Lofton, and Libby Grace Lofton. Arrangements were handled by O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home of Lillington, NC. Funeral services were held at Holly Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Husband of Mazine Thomas Patterson. James Laten (J.L.) Patterson, 86 of Broadway, died at the E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. J.L. was born in Harnett County to William Barrett and Mary Cummings Patterson. He was the seventh of ten children, all who have preceded him in death; Taft, Julian, John, Perry, Caviness, Gilbert, and Lathan Patterson; Mary Stewart and Josephine Tankersley. In 1945, he married Maxine Thomas Patterson. J.L. served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1945. He was a Mason at Buffalo Lodge #172 in Sanford, NC, a member of the Boone Trail Ruritan Club and an active member throughout his community. He was devoted lifetime member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and choir member for many years. J.L. is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maxine Thomas Patterson, and 6 children; James Michael Patterson and wife Linda of Broadway; Robert Ashley Patterson and wife Kathy of Charlotte; Gary Wayne Patterson of Huntersville; Timothy Craig Patterson and Judy of Broadway; Ann Patterson Bost and husband Danny of Broadway; and Maxine Jan Patterson of Broadway. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Madison Cleo Patterson and 2 sons, Travis and Delbert Patterson. Jessie was a member of the Women's Missionary Group and taught Sunday School at Holly Springs Baptist Church, where she attended for at least 67 years. She loved her grandchildren, shopping, eating and singing. Wife of Marcus Ronald Patterson. Mrs. Peggy Joyce Page Patterson, 84, of Mamers passed away at Universal Healthcare in Lillington. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Zeb and Irma Wester Page. Peggy worked at Cornell Dubilier in Fuquay-Varina and Sanford for many years. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway. Peggy loved quilting, baking and fishing. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ronald Patterson; daughter-in-law, Donna Upchurch Patterson; granddaughter, Lynette L. Patterson; grandson, Mark Patterson; 2 brothers, Billy Page and Louis Page; 2 sisters, Jewel Rouse and Lola Mae Thomas. Peggy is survived by sons, Ricky Patterson and wife Brenda of Sanford, Randy Patterson and wife Jatana of Broadway, Craig Patterson and wife Judy of Mamers; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Arrangements were handled by O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington, NC. Funeral was held at Holly Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Aunts and Uncles, Glenda and Sammy Womack of Broadway, NC, Jimmy McNeill of Sanford, NC and Jimmy L. Patterson and wife Ginny of Fayetteville, NC; and cousins Scott, Cindy, Terry and Thomas. Arrangements were handled by the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. Services were held at Holly Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Nead and Ronie Lett Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Cleveland Patterson; daughter, Johnsie Lee Patterson; son, Lee Mar Patterson; 5 brothers, "Red" Thomas, Remus Thomas, Alvin "Cat" Thomas, Doc Thomas, Ralph "Shine" Thomas; sister, Lillie Thomas Zimmerman. Rosie was the oldest member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with friends. Rosie loved her family, especially her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Rosie is survived by her son, Norman J. Patterson and wife, Becky of Broadway; other "son", Roger Tankersley and "daughter" Phyllis Tankersley of Angier; 2 granddaughters, Norma P. O'Quinn and husband David of Lillington, Amy P. Wilson of Broadway; 5 great-grandchildren, Lisa, Daniel, Laura and Lacy O'Quinn, Luke Wilson; many nieces and nephews too numerous to list. Arrangements were handled by O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington, NC. A funeral service was conducted at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway, NC. He was born in Harnett County to the late Duncan James Patterson and Nannie Womack Patterson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Swannie Dawkins Patterson; two brothers and four sisters. Roy served his country during WW II as a US Army CPL in the Philippines and the occupational forces of Japan. Surviving relatives include his sons, Edwin Patterson and Pam of Sanford; Phil Patterson and Linda of Broadway and daughters, Joan Fowler and Dan of Sanford and Susan Wells and Robin McIntyre of Pinehurst; grandchildren, Lovedy Muniz and Guillermo, Sarah Patterson and Dr. Steve Daniels, Ryan Patterson and Sarah, Payton Badders and Robby, Emily Johnson and John; great-grandchildren, Noah and Max Muniz, Evie and James Daniels, Reece, Rylan, and Addison Patterson, and Savana Johnson; step-grandchildren, Matt and Joe Hinton and step- greatgrandchild, Nyah Hinton. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by siblings: Hazel Bailey, Everette Dawkins, Vic Stout, Lewis Dawkins and Lucille Nance. Mrs. Patterson was a 1948 graduate of Deep River School and was the Class Salutatorian. She was a hard-working, devoted, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roy Truman Patterson; two sons, Edwin Patterson and wife Pam of Sanford and Phil Patterson and wife Linda of Broadway; two daughters, Joan Fowler and husband Dan of Sanford and Susan Wells of Pinehurst; two sisters, Beulah Minor of Raleigh and Pat Ellis of Sanford; seven grandchildren: Ryan Patterson, Emily Johnson, Lovedy Muniz, Sarah Patterson, Matthew Hinton, Joseph Hinton, and Payton Fowler and seven great-grandchildren: Reece Patterson, Rylan Patterson, Addison Patterson, Savana Johnson, Noah Muniz, Max Muniz and Evie Grace Daniels.
