      • Wife of Clyde Eugene Dalrymple. Mary Evelyn "Pinky" McNeill Dalrymple, age 72, of Sanford, NC, died at First Health Moore Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Lee County to the late Connie McNeill and Beulah Brown Milazzo McNeill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son Clyde Benton Dalrymple and brother Benny McNeill. Pinky graduated from Boone Trail High School in 1965 and was a former member of Holly Springs Baptist church and more recently Hunt Springs Baptist Church where she had been very active. She worked for Belk Department Store in the accounts payable office and was the office manager of her husband's plumbing business, Clyde Dalrymple Plumbing. She enjoyed reading in her spare time. Pinky is survived by her husband, of 50 years, Clyde Eugene Dalrymple; sons Chris Dalrymple and wife Mandy, David Dalrymple and wife Amy all of Sanford; sister Sammie Southerland and husband Terry of Warsaw, NC; grandchildren LeeAnna Swann and husband Adam of Broadway, Bayleigh Dalrymple, Emaleigh Dalrymple; and great-granddaughter Gracelynn Swann. Arrangements were handled by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and the funeral service was held in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with burial at Holly Springs Baptist Church cemetery.

      • Husband of Diane O'Quinn Dickens. Mr. Rufus Eugene "Gene" Dickens, 64, of Mamers, went home to be with Lord on August 1, 2018. Gene was born in Harnett County to the late George and Wilda Laubscher Dickens. Gene was a 1972 graduate of Boone Trail High School in Mamers, NC. He worked in the furniture industry for many years before most recently working with the Harnett County Schools at Boone Trail Elementary in Mamers, NC. He loved people; singing music; playing with his band "Second Chance"; and being a Disc Jockey, especially with functions for special needs children and classic car shows. He taught an adult Sunday School class called "Friendship" for many years at Holly Springs Baptist. Gene was lovingly referred to as "Unofficial Mayor of Mamers". He is survived by his wife, Diane O'Quinn Dickens; daughter, Gena Dickens of Mamers; grandchildren, Jaylee and Jake; sisters, Vonnie Dickens of Lillington, Barbara Holder (James) of Mamers and Shirley Black of Lillington; brother, Alvin Dickens (Barbara) of Broadway; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were handled by O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home of Lillington, NC. Funeral Services were held at Holly Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
