Husband of Judy Royal Harrison. Mr. Phillip Mayo Harrison, 66, of Dunn died at Duke Medical Center in Durham. Mr. Harrison was born in Martin County to Mayo and Pauline Jackson Harrison. Mr. Harrison graduated from East Carolina University in 1974 with a B.S. in Business Administration and was also a graduate of the School of Banking, at Louisiana State University. Mr. Harrison worked at Cape Fear Farm Credit for 28 years, where he served as the Chief Auditor for 10 years. He served as deacon, Assistant Sunday School Director, Finance Committee member, and worked with the Keenagers and Baptist Men at Spring Branch Church. Mr. Harrison was also a prominent volunteer at Averasboro Battlefield. Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy Royal Harrison; son, Phillip Michael Harrison of Greenville; step-sons, Tony and Allan Penny of Carolina Beach; brother, Ricky Harrison and wife Beth; nephew, Tyler Harrison of Greenville; and niece Sarah Harrison. Arrangements were handled by Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn. Services were held at First Baptist Church in Erwin, NC with burial at Erwin Memorial Park.
