St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery Survey and Community Service Project by David Morrison of Hamptonville, NC.

This was a community service project that I completed during the summers between my senior year at Starmount High School in 2010 and 2011 at the cemetery of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Hamptonville, NC. Located in Yadkin County, the church is located at the corner of Buck Shoals Road and St. Paul Church Road. Andrew Mackie, of the Yadkin County Historical Society, provided advice and input to assist me in getting the project started. Using a cemetery survey provided by St. Paul's cemetery caretaker, Billy Macy, I conducted a genealogical survey of the three hundred and sixty-seven tombstones and grave sites.

I took digital pictures of the tombstones and recorded and compiled information from them onto Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheets. The recorded information and pictures of each tombstone are included in the following and correspond to the spreadsheets I created and the previous cemetery survey with a few additions. It is my hope that this project will help preserve the history of those who lie buried at St. Paul and provide future generations with accurate and detailed information about their ancestors. - - - - David Morrison.
