Directions: From Warrenton courthouse on Hwy 158 E Bus, travel 0.5 mile and turn right onto Hwy 58. Travel 4.2 miles to Liberia and bear right onto Hwy 58. Travel 4.4 miles and turn left onto SR 1512 (Davis-Bugg Rd). Travel 1.7 miles to the intersection of SR 1512 and SR 1641 (Otis Clark Rd). The cemetery is on the left of SR 1512 and 20 yards from the road. Twenty graves marked with fieldstones were noted. Race-White.
Note: Dr. and Mrs. Pitchford had 14 children, several of whom died as infants or young children. Dr. Pitchford's parents are buried here.
Pvt Robert T. Pitchford was killed when the train that was transferring hundreds of prisoners from Point Lookout in Maryland to Elmira, N. Y. ran head-on into a coal train near Shohola, Penn. The Confederate dead were buried in a common grave in Pennsylvania and then moved many years later to a common grave in Elmira, N. Y.
